Re- Design Inspiration

Final Design

Image
I am happy with how this design came out. I would have liked to add a more psychedelic feel to it, but I really like the retro styling and the back page being a world tour poster. The most successful part of the design in my opinion would be the fur coat on Daisy as I am rally proud of how it turned out, and the background itself. I am glad I chose to add the slight detailing of the stars, I feel like, while subtle, it helps bring the entire design together. The font I chose was WONKERBAR. I think it gave a nice final look to the image with how the serifs fit together - especially on the authors name. The least successful part of this image would be the earing, I wish I had gone back and added more detail to define it. As an important part of Daisy character, I feel like it gets a bit lost. Editing Final Design

How the design looked with the background completed and most of Daisy herself. The design before final feedback. I added colour to Daisy's lips and moved her positioning slightly so she fit on the cover better. The final design of the cover without the text added.

10 thumbnails designs based on the book Daisy Jones & the Six. 1. I went with a design of a music note, instrument, sheet music compilation that extended from the front to the spine and continued onto the back. 2. Taking inspiration from music posters from the 80's, I designed a simple cover, with records scattered around. 3. I wanted to do something similar to the first design, but with adding some sort of psychedelic feature - the font. 4. This design is of a mirrored image of a broken heart, filled with music memorabilia. The mirrored image would have a lighter opacity so the text on the back would be readable. 5. A simple record with the title and author on the record lines, and musical notes floating in the background. 6. 7 daisies on the cover with a fun psychedelic font. The background is styled like a music poster with the silhouettes of the Six. 7. Daisy listening to music with musical memorabilia in her hair. The back is surrounded ...
